Virtual Bass Conservatory
Classes for the Bass and Cello Conservatory of Dallas will begin on January 21st!
There are a few changes this year, so please read this message in its entirety. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of our students and instructors, classes will be taught through remote learning. With our highest hopes for a better health situation nationwide and in the state of Texas, classes in person will resume in Fall 2021.
Dr. Gudrun Raschen teaches at the first session of the Miami Bass Conservatory.
Dr. Gudrun Raschen, Dr. Jessica Gilliam & Dr. Carlos Gaviria, instructors of the Beginner & Intermediate Camp, work with campers at the UNT College of Music.
Founder of the Bass Conservatory of Dallas and master teacher, Dr. Gudrun Raschen, has established an innovative and highly successful teaching model of group instruction. Students of all levels work in small groups on technique, bass chamber music, All-State preparation, solo playing, music theory and improvisation. In addition to working with major teachers and guest artists, students learn from each other as well as gain experience mentoring other students.
The Bass and Cello Conservatory is also designed to increase the student’s appreciation and enjoyment of music. Students from the BCC have gone on to study at top schools in the US and win major competitions and jobs in all phases of their music profession, not to mention our Allstate record!
During Spring 2021, classes will be held through the Zoom platform. These will consist of weekly sessions led by professionals from the DFW Metroplex, including Jose Saavedra Diaz and Andrew Cody Williams, as well as world-renowned guest artists Gudrun Raschen, Jeff Bradetich, Aaron Olguin, and more!
The Bradetich Foundation is very proud to sponsor these Conservatories, currently in Dallas, Miami, and Bogota, Colombia; with plans to open more opportunities for young bass players to learn and enjoy the bass around the world.
