The Bradetich Double Bass Master Classes, held at the University of North Texas, are among the most prestigious and longest-running events of their kind in the U.S., providing an immersive and inspiring week of study for passionate bassists. Each year, participants from across the country and around the world come together to refine their playing through exceptional individual and group instruction covering every aspect of double bass playing.
Throughout the week, students engage in dynamic daily sessions, exploring technique, orchestral repertoire, solo interpretation, and ensemble performance. A highlight of the experience is the opportunity for all participants to perform with piano accompaniment in solo classes, preparing them for the grand finale concert: the Big Bass Bash 2026, where they showcase their artistry alongside fellow musicians and guest bassists.
These master classes are open to highly motivated high school and college students, young professionals, dedicated string teachers, and enthusiastic amateur bassists looking to elevate their skills, expand their musical knowledge, and reignite their passion for the double bass. 26th Annual Beginners and Intermediate Bass Camp

The Beginners and Intermediate Bass Camp is the perfect opportunity for bassists of all ages at the beginner and intermediate levels to learn, grow, and have fun! This engaging and supportive program is designed to help students strengthen their technique, enhance their musical expression, and explore the rich repertoire and history of the double bass, all while enjoying plenty of playing time.
Led by some of the nation’s top educators for young bassists, students will receive expert instruction in a dynamic and encouraging environment. The camp culminates in the exciting Big Bass Bash Concert, where participants come together to showcase their progress and celebrate their shared love of music. Whether you're just starting or looking to take your skills to the next level, this camp offers an unforgettable summer of learning, friendship, and music!
