January 17, 2012 Happy New Year!
Hello All and Happy New Year! Can you believe it..here we are in the year 2012 and guess what? We are still finding that the majority of string/orchestra competitions do not include the double bass. How could this be?? Well, there's good news. We are continuously working on exciting initiatives and events and one of them is the next Bradetich International Double Bass Solo Competition, which will take place in 2014. Details of the competition will be announced in the Fall on this year to give everyone plenty of time to prepare. Stay Tuned!
November 4, 2011 Congratulations!
Earlier this week, the University of North Texas honored our very own Jeff Bradetich with the Creative Impact Award. This is a campus wide competition and Jeff was one of three that was nominated. It's wonderful that Jeff is being recognized for all his hard work and dedication to his students, the Bradetich Foundation and the University of North Texas. Jeff's continuous contributions, expertise and creativity have a worldwide impact on how we view, hear and play the double bass.
Congratulations Jeff...play on!
Sincerely,
Tammy Jo Leonard

About the Bradetich Foundation
The Bradetich Foundation was established in 2008 with the sole purpose of advancing the performing, teaching and knowledge of the double bass. It represents the vision of founder Jeff Bradetich and the culmination of his 30 years of service to the profession.
The Foundation is dedicated to identifying the top performers in the world and helping to develop their careers through major competitions, debut concerts in New York and London, CD recordings and concert tours.
The educational outreach of the Foundation is a cornerstone of its work. Through instructional and performance DVD’s, concerts for children and older adults, and the promotion of the instrument through traditional and non-traditional media, the Foundation will work to raise the standard of the double bass and improve its standing in the general public.
The Bradetich Foundation will continue to establish and promote workshops and conferences throughout the world, bringing together the top minds in the field to share their artistry, philosophies and experience to the next generation of bass players.
Thank you for visiting our website and supporting the love and passion for music. The double bass makes the world a better place.
